Geraldine Bridges

I sought God directly, not through any church, and for many years I have been writing the Spirit, mostly in poetic form but also in prose. I believe that contemplation, direct spiritual experience and communion leads to action in the community/world as each one of us is called. Although I am personally called to Christ's ministry, I have been inspired by the words and actions of those who love God from many different faiths and I believe that we are all children of God (even if we are asleep to it).

As a mature student, I gained a BA (Hons) in Biblical and Pastoral Studies. I recently felt moved to join the Quakers and I am a volunteer chaplaincy visitor at the Royal Berks Hospital.

I am the Human Resources Manager and PA to the Managing Director of a company in Wokingham and I am a member of the Chartered Institute for Personnel & Development. I am also a trained therapist in Swedish massage for face and body and I taught facials and remedial treatments in London many years ago before going to live and work in America.

I have two daughters in their twenties, one is the Director of a local Theatre School and a singer/songwriter and the other is studying for a Masters degree at The Courtauld Institute.
