3rd July-Committee discuss
the proposed appointment of a new bishop of Reading. It is made clear
that any committee member making statements to the press should emphasise
that their views are personal rather than representative of the Interfaith
group.
"The Bishop can still be welcomed as patron on the basis of what
he has in common with us. Also he has been accepted by the Christian
church."
July-Reading Interfaith Group
provide their own stall at WOMAD.
19th October-Autumn event
based on a theme "Food for thought." attended by 80 people.
The bishop of Oxford described us as "a prototype for inter-faith
work." Martin Salter MP also described the event as being "fantastic".
Compliments are scrupulously recorded in the minutes!.
