January 21st- Reading Interfaith
Group hold a joint service with Reading Council for Racial Equality
in connection with Jewish exhibition.
27th February- Talk given
by Faroukh Bilbe from muslim community.
23rd May- Marcus Braybroke,
Chairman of World Council of Faiths and of the Bishop of Oxford’s
Council for Interfaith Concerns gives a talk.
June 16th- Talk given by
Hari Sewak from Sikh community.
17th September- Committee decide to write to Cherry Gould thanking her
for all the work she has done over the years to help and sustain Reading
Interfaith Group.
They also decide to adopt a new formal constitution.
Tuesday 8th October- Interview
with Kallas Pandya, a Hindu member of Reading Interfaith Group at Leighton
Park School.
Tuesday 19th November- First
Annual Annual General Meeting held at Civic centre. Annual
Report presented and new
constitution approved.
This is followed by speakers from a selection of religions giving a
presentation on "Women in Religion."
