Autumn Event

The Autumn Event began as a way of celebrating United Nations Day on October 24th.
It aims to bring people of all backgrounds together. on a Sunday afternoon to make friends and learn about each other. Representatives of different faiths are invited to speak for few moments on a shared theme followed by a few shared moments of reflection. Each meeting will convey a range of perspectives leading to better understanding of each other.

Traditionally Autumn Events have focused on peace related issues although over time a number of shared interests, themes and perceptions have emerged.

The meeting is followed by a bring and share vegetarian tea. There is also an exhibition of artifacts depicting some of the many different faith traditions in Reading and many opportunities to ask questions. The Autumn Event is open to everyone.
