The Route

Below are a few pictures to show some of the places we visited before our photographer dissappeared to put the Meeting House tea-urn on!

not quite the first to arrive

This is the scary bit at the very beginning when we are busy hoping someone will soon come along and join us

congregating at the Forbury

It wasn't long before people started arriving. There was a bit of a party atmosphere.

setting off

This may seem a slightly illogical route out of the Forbury but was the Evening Post photographer's idea

walking kennetside

By the time we reached Kennet-side there was quite a crowd. Negotiating the banner under trees and bridges was fun.

Gurdwara

By the time we reached the Gurdwara some walkers were already quite tired. It was a hot day so we were very glad of Sikh hospitality.

St Luke's

St Luke's seemed to be making significant changes in preparation for our arrival!

Outside the mosque

At this point it would seem everyone but two had gone home! The mosque was however full of walkers who had come to make friends with Reading's muslim community.

More pictures to follow (hopefully)
